Several area families enjoyed a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving thanks to SolidRatio Investments which provided over a hundred free turkeys for the holiday.

SolidRatio Investments founder Antoine Cureton said the business gave away more than 100 turkeys in recent days through Target and Walmart stores in Owings Mills and Baltimore City, Maryland.

Cureton said he thought about his childhood and the importance about family during the holidays in deciding on the turkey giveaway in the communities where he lives and grew up.

“Thanksgiving is the time for everyone to come together, to celebrate and be thankful for what they have, but to also think about others who are less fortunate,” he said in a statement.

Turkeys were distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

SolidRatio Invetsments started in 2020 and offers financial literacy workshops free of charge throughout the state of Maryland. Owner, Antoine Cureton, said live Zoom seminars are offered every Sunday at 2 p.m., and the company has plans to offer more in-person sessions in the future.
